Community Activities
Our branch at Slough were approached by the Activities Co-ordinator at Windmill Care Centre, Slough who wanted to arrange for some of the residents to go out for Sunday lunch at the Red Lion pub in Iver. The Windmill Care Centre booked and paid for the lunches and E Sargeant & Son hired 4 minibuses from Slough Community Transport ( these buses have the lifts etc.. necessary for wheelchair users ).
In addition, we provided 2 of our Jaguar limousines for the more ambulant guests. The day was a great success and we took 25 residents ( 8 of whom were in wheelchairs ), 3 members of residents’ families and 3 carers.
Thank you to everyone who provided support on the day, we all had a great opportunity to meet the lovely residents, families, staff and carers on this social outing.
