Easter comes early at Oxford House

E Sargeant & Sons ensured an egg-cellant time was had by all at Oxford House Nursing Home when they paid for the hire of an incubator through the company Living Eggs who provide ‘ready to hatch’ two week comprehensive programmes with everything needed to hatch chicks.

The Living Eggs program has been designed for nurseries and schools as well as care homes and comes with additional resources depending on the setting. For care homes resources for residents include  knitting, crocheting, stitching, recipes, puzzles, crafts and games.  The whole experience provides residents with a shared interest for the 10 day duration of the program as well as stimulation and interaction as everyone eagerly awaits the arrival of the chicks.

Area Development Manager Mark Clements said: “The activity brings a lot of pleasure to residents and staff and we were thrilled to be part of this experience.”
